You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep this information up to date.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
- Record, transcribe, or process meetings without the consent of all participants where required by law
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service
- Use the Service to transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks connected to the Service
5. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by MeetScribe and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you upload or create through the Service.
6. Meeting Content & Data
You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to record and transcribe meetings using our Service. MeetScribe does not claim ownership of your meeting transcriptions, summaries, or other content generated through the Service. You are responsible for complying with all applicable recording consent laws in your jurisdiction.
7. Subscription & Billing
Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay all applicable fees. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled in accordance with our refund policy.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MeetScribe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising from or related to your use of the Service. MeetScribe's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. MeetScribe does not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated transcriptions, summaries, or action items. You acknowledge that AI-generated content may contain errors and should be reviewed before reliance.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may export your data before termination in accordance with our data export procedures.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
